SUMMARY

Elevate is searching for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

General Ledger Management
--- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for our dental practices and support team
--- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
--- Work with the accounting team to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP


Accounts Payable and Receivable
--- Work with an outsourced AP team to prepare invoices and serve as a backup when necessary
--- Verify invoices for payment
--- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies
--- Communicate/coordinate with practices to resolve any billing inquiries


Bank Reconciliations
--- Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash balances
--- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner


New Acquisition Support
--- Act as point of contact for vendor transitions
--- Perform analyses for net working capital true-ups
--- Assist in the bank account and new merchant setups


Ad Hoc Projects
--- Participate in one-off analyses as determined by management
--- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed
--- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives
--- Assist with audit and tax preparation Including working with external auditors as needed
--- Assist in the preparation of annual 1099 returns
--- Stay up to date about changes in accounting laws and regulations relevant to the dental industry

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
--- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
--- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft applications, especially Excel
--- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
--- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
--- Strong written and verbal communication skills
--- NetSuite and SAP Concur experience is a plus
