- High school: 100% College Acceptance -Each member of the
organization plays a part in achieving these goals. School-based
staff members will work towards 2 or 3 metrics that are aligned to
both their roles AND the Big 5. These metrics vary by position and
are subject to change for the 2024-2025 school year. As Director of
Accounting and Financial Reporting, you will be held accountable
for some of these goals. - -Role Mission As Director of Accounting
and Financial Reporting, you will report directly to the VP of
Finance and Planning. You will be responsible for overseeing RMP's
day-to-day accounting function, including AR, AP, Bookkeeping,
Reconciliation, and Monthly/Annual Closing. You will partner with
the VP of Finance and Planning to ensure data integrity and
security in financial systems and ensure that RMP receives clean
annual financial auditing and RMP is in compliance with tax laws,
regulations, and financial reporting standards. You will implement
fluent and efficient financial systems and tools to meet the
operational financial needs of the network. You will lead,
supervise, and train staff to assume all transactional accounting
responsibilities. - -In this role, - you will be responsible for
the following aspects: - -Financial Reporting:
- Prepare the monthly financial statements including the Balance
Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement with the analysis
of the fluctuations compared to the prior period.
- Develop the monthly presentation for the capital assets
depreciation schedule, investment earnings, cash trending chart,
debt schedules etc. - -
- Develop reports for ad-hoc financial analysis. -Accounting
- Being a learner of the accounting regulation updates and RMP's
liaison with auditors to ensure RMP's compliance with the GASB and
GAAP standards update. -
- Implement an effective accounting workflow to ensure the
payment, bookkeeping, and reconciliation are completed adequately
for the monthly and annual closing.
- Formulated the checklist for monthly/annual closing, and other
accounting projects. Efforts successfully ensured consistency for
financial data integrity and compliance with regulatory
requirements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing to capture the
completed record of AR, AP, Payroll transactions, and
Reconciliations. -
- RMP's liaison with the school districts for the accounting
transactions record. -Auditing and Tax Filing
- Maintain the accounting record following the requirements of
RMP's Financial Policies and Procedures, and ready for auditing
through the year. - -
- Lead the financial auditing preparation, responsible for
creating the auditing plan, corresponding with the auditors, -
preparing the PBC files, and implementing the annual auditing.
- RMP's liaison with tax consultants to complete the annual 990
filing for RMP and RMP's Building Corp. - -
- Oversee the annual 1099 filings. -Financial Systems and Tools
- Proficient in RMP's and CDE's chart of accounts. -
- RMP's program administrator for the accounting system,
automated payment system, credit card system, - POS transaction
system, etc. -
- Compose the procedures and user guides for the tools and
systems, and provide training to the users.
- Learn the evolution and development of financial systems and
tools to improve operational financial efficiency and meet the
operational requirements of the network. - - Leadership
- Foster a culture of positivity, adaptability, collaboration,
accountability, and continuous improvement to allow each team
member to thrive.
- Provide training and mentoring to the direct reports for them
to understand the expectations of their jobs and to be equipped as
the owners of their assignments and projects.
- Provide periodical feedback to direct reports about their
performance and identify the areas for improvement. -
-Qualifications Required:
- 3-5+ years of management experience in Accounting or/and
Finance with at least one direct report;
- Deep expertise and proven track record leading in domains such
as: Financial Reporting, Grants Financial Management, Accounts
Payable/Accounts Receivable, Cash Reconciliation, General Ledger,
and Payroll;
- Former project management experience in financial system and
procedures implementation;
- Experience in K-12 public education; school and/or
CMO/District;
- Bachelor's degree in Business Major. Preferred:
- CPA preferred;
- Master of Accountancy/MBA preferred. -Salary - This is a
full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of
$100,000 to $110,000. Benefits
