team. About the Role The Commodity Manager is responsible for
developing and implementing commodity-specific sourcing strategies,
managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effectiveness
and quality in procurement activities. This role requires a deep
understanding of market dynamics, procurement principles, and the
ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align
procurement activities with company goals. About You Our mission is

bonus, not a requirement. Key Responsibilities: Develop and
implement commodity-specific sourcing strategies. Conduct market
research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate market
conditions. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to
ensure cost-effectiveness and quality. Manage supplier
relationships and performance to meet company standards and
objectives. Monitor and analyze market trends to adjust purchasing
strategies and mitigate risks. Collaborate with cross-functional
teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance,
to align procurement activities with company goals. Manage a
portfolio of suppliers within the commodity to drive value and
innovation. Minimum Qualifications: Requires Bachelor's degree in a
related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or
Masters 8 yrs experience). Typically 10 years of related
experience. In-depth understanding of procurement and supply chain
management principles. Specialized knowledge of specific
commodities and market dynamics. Expertise in supplier selection,
development, and management. Proficiency in contract negotiation
and cost analysis. Familiarity with risk management and compliance
within commodity procurement. Preferred Qualifications: Master's
degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a
related field. Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified
Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain
Professional). Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively
in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficiency in using
procurement software and tools such as SAP Ariba, Oracle
Procurement Cloud, or similar platforms. Advanced knowledge of data
analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power
BI. Experience with cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO)
analysis. Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance
standards relevant to the aerospace or defense industry. Ability to
develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in the supply
chain. Experience in managing complex supplier negotiations and
long-term agreements (LTAs). Knowledge of lean manufacturing
principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to
lead cross-functional teams and drive collaborative initiatives.
Compensation: Pay Range: $132,000.00 - $181,500.00 Your actual base
compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may
vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education,
experience, internal equity and market competitiveness. Additional
Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to
include finger and hand dexterity Rarely lifting or carrying up to
20 lbs. Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous
