We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical
Engineering Manager working on satellite systems to join our team
located in Centennial, CO.
Exciting opportunity supporting the development of space-based
payloads, sensors and satellite systems. This engineer will manage
a group of mechanical engineers of varying experience levels from
senior to recent graduate, providing strong leadership, mentoring,
and technical support. This manager will focus on supporting the
continued development of space systems out of the Centennial, CO
office. This is a functional management opportunity, leading the
local team while also contributing as a chief engineer or lead
engineer on a program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage professional and technical
performance of staff to ensure quality, business and financial
objectives are achieved.
Provide leadership and managerial support to team members including
performance management, annual performance reviews and salary
management for staff.
Support and lead the engineering staff in the analysis,
investigation and resolution of routine engineering problems.
Ensure technical leadership and excellence is maintained by
directing and participating in the planning, attraction, selection,
retention and development of the required professional and
Independently perform challenging engineering work, document
findings, communicate results, delivers technical presentations,
and support test activities both on and off-site. Design, develop,
and test all aspects of mechanical components and equipment.
Demonstrate strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer,
structural mechanics and dynamics, as well as mechanical hardware
design, fabrication techniques and test for space and military
Assist with satellite mechanical subsystem level design, including
requirement analysis, mission analysis, and design trade-offs.
Ability to lead a cross-disciplinary team as a lead or chief
engineer on a program
Develop innovative and practical solutions to issues arising in
design, assembly, integration and test of satellite systems and

Job Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelors, Masters or PhD
in engineering or a related technical field as well as eleven or
more years of progressively complex engineering experience with at
least five of those years having management responsibilities. May
substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance is

system life cycle, including spacecraft development, environmental
testing, launch, and operations.

broad application of those concepts; and, expanding knowledge of
principles, concepts, theory, and practices in related technical

Each job has a salary range which identifies the minimum, midpoint
(market) and maximum base pay for the job. Pay rates are
established based on the individual's knowledge, skill, experience
and education/training needed to perform the job.
