JOB SUMMARY:The Patient Resource Manager (PRM) is responsible for leading the business development activities todrive admissions and census within an assigned book of business. Through cross-functional cooperation,the PRM is responsible for the total value creation from the account relationships within the book ofbusiness. The PRM will be the primary face of the company to these referral sources and will developbusiness plans, marshal the company's resources to secure growth, build collaboration, and report successagainst these plans.MAJOR JOB FUNCTIONS:--- Promote and practice the Sage Family of Companies philosophy and mission of, "To provide the mostcompassionate, comprehensive, and qualified care to people with a life-limiting illness to serve themthrough their individual journey with dignity, respect, and integrity"--- Develop, execute, and regularly evaluate strategic marketing plans including tactics designedto meet budgeted admission and census goals--- Conduct strategic planning of assigned territory to identifying opportunities for additional orimproved services to address customer needs--- Learn and execute the company's consultative selling strategy to build sustainablerelationships with targeted referral customers to include accountability for all customerservice measures in assigned accounts--- Participate in sales meetings to include sales forecasting and strategic planning and analysis forassigned territory--- Maintain professional and clinical competence including, but not limited to, hospice,palliative, and primary care eligibility requirements and criteria--- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the business to include government agencies,major payer groups, key referral sources, and competitor's market positioning--- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of community resources in order to assistcustomers in accessing community resources should services not be provided by the company--- Negotiate service contracts and pricing with managed care organizations, insurance casemanagers, and other payers within established financial and credit parameters--- Exhibit compliance in the utilization of the company's Customer Relationship Management(CRM) program to manage accounts, contacts, calendar, routing schedules, and call notes--- Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and guidelines, corporate identity, andadmission standards--- Take initiative to develop and maintain relationships within the admissions department, as well asclinical personnel, to ensure effective communication both internally and externally for our referralcustomers--- Maintain an organized approach to territory management--- Maintain a professional personal appearance including your vehicle used for company business--- Responsible for all sales administration duties including, but not limited to, expense reports, payrolltime sheets, PTO requests, paperwork (POC) delivery, or pick-up when needed--- All other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:--- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field preferred--- Three (3) years of experience in health care marketing, management, or hospice care operations ispreferred--- Demonstrate ability to market aggressively and deal tactfully with customers and the community--- Knowledge of the corporate business management process--- Proof of current automobile insurance and a valid driver's license--- Must have and maintain transportation to be used for workSKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE:--- Knowledge of community resources, documentation, and program management--- Understanding and utilization of a CRM--- Display sensitivity to feelings of the terminally ill and their families--- Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word--- Demonstrate good communication, negotiation, and public relations skills--- Demonstrate autonomy, organization, assertiveness, flexibility, and cooperation in performingjob responsibilities--- Communicate effectively with people of all socioeconomic backgrounds--- Display evidence of patient advocacy--- Demonstrate flexibility by performing a variety of tasks without loss of efficiency orcomposure--- Ability to function in the workplace with maturity, cooperation, flexibility, and tact in dealingwith co-workers and all members of the hospice team--- Positively influence others in their opinions, attitudes, judgments, or ideas--- Maintain high standards of integrity and business ethics--- Abide by company rules, policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations--- Conduct oneself in an honest, ethical manner--- Demonstrate a successful track record of monthly admissionsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:--- Ability to remain alert and act in a safe manner in patient's homes and/or institutionalsettings with potential exposure to infections, communicable diseases, odors, blood, excreta,and hazardous materials--- Endure long periods of driving--- Stand, walk and/or sit for extended periods--- Ambulate on rough surfaces and climb stairs
