THE JOB
As a Software Development Manager your roles and responsibilities will include:

• 
  
• As a Software Development Manager, you will: Mentor Developers; Lead small and medium size Teams; Prioritize team tasking; work directly with customer to ensure features and changes are captured; manage short term and long term staffing.
  
• You will report to the Director of Engineering.
  
  DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Software Development Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Software Development Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
  
  
  • 
    
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
    
  • 10 years of Software Development.
    
  • 5 years of experience being a technical leader or manager for an aerospace company either space or aircraft environment.
    
  • 5 years of experience with VxWorks or other RTOS (Real-time Operating Systems).
    
  • 5 years managing Software Development Schedules.
    
  • 5 years working in an Agile Environment.
