Job Description:

A Nursing Leadership opportunity in a multispecialty includes General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Wound and Ostomy Care. Candidates should have at least 6 months charge nurse or nursing supervisor experience and 6 months ambulatory experience. Prefer surgical experience but not required.

Summary:

Daily coordination of personnel and resources within a clinical specialty or department.

Work Schedule: Full Time Days

Responsibilities:

Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.

Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services.

Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives. Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on issues related to patient care, patient flow and clinical standards, policies and procedures.

Monitors departmental compliance with applicable requirements, including accreditation, legal, and any regulatory agency.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements:

* Credentials:* Basic Life Support
* Registered Nurse
* Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.

Minimum Experience: 2 years nursing experience. Preferred: Charge Nurse experience.
* BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.)

The pay range for this position is: $34.43 - $53.36 / hour

An annual bonus may be paid to eligible employees based upon organizational and individual performance
