excellent opportunity for a Full-time Advanced Practice Physician
Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to work for UCHealth Surgical ICU-
Memorial Hospital Central-Level I Trauma Center. --- Variety - This
position works within the surgical ICU and step-down unit with
coverage of acute care and trauma patients as well as other
specialties, participates in multi-disciplinary, and performs
frequent invasive bedside procedures. There may be occasional time
in the OR. --- Schedule - Supports a work-life balance. No call
required. This position is FT. We are a currently a day shift
service with holiday and weekend shift coverage required and
anticipate continued growth in volume requiring future extended
hours. Nights are currently not required for this service but may
become required as service continues to grow. --- Our Team - Is a
collaborative and cohesive group that includes 20 Surgeons, and 5
APPs who thrive on providing the best surgical care in the region.
Preferred: --- Two years of Critical Care experience as either a
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. --- Full Prescriptive
Authority is preferred. Provisional is accepted if Acute Care

Requirements for Physician Assistants --- Bachelor or Master's
Degree in Physician Assistant Studies --- Unrestricted license to
practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado. ---
Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National
Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is
required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment ---
Unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to
prescribe all medications commonly prescribed in the course of
practice. --- Eligible to provide services reimbursable services
and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid. ---
Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusion from
either the Health and Human Services/Office of Inspectors General
(HHS/OIG) or the General Services Administration's (GSA) List of
Parties Excluded from Federal Programs. --- Unrestricted medical
staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges. ---
Prescriptive authority as appropriate, per medical staff service
privileging process. --- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or
the American Red Cross --- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
certification obtained within 1 year of hire. Requirements for
Nurse Practitioners --- Master's degree in Nursing and graduate of
an accredited Nurse Practitioner program --- Nurse Practitioner
Certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center
(ANCC) or Nurse Practitioner Certification issued by the American
Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) is
required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment. ---
Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the State Board
of Nursing in the state of practice or compact privileges under the
multi-state Nurse Licensure Compact agreement --- Unrestricted
medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges ---
Fill prescriptive authority --- Unrestricted Drug Enforcement
Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe all medications commonly
prescribed in the course of practice. --- Eligible to provide
services reimbursable services and maintain provider status with

this position is $48.37/hour - $69.12/ hour. Pay is dependent on
