Consistently evaluates developed protocols to ensure quality of care. Exercises discretion in determining deviation from methods and protocols to meet health and safety exigences.Assesses and treats speech disorders, linguistic disorders, communication disorders, developmental delay, voice disorders, oral-motor functioning, auditory and visual perception, and cognition.Procedures which may be required, as determined by the speech therapist, include but are not limited to any combination of the following: receptive and expressive language, aural rehabilitation, oral motor function training, feeding therapy, speech/language stimulation, and teaching of articulation, respiration, and swallowing.Collaborates across disciplines and with the provider to coordinate patient care; participates in the plan of care (POC) development, discharge planning, modification, and participates in care conferences as assigned.WHAT WE ARE GOING TO LOVE ABOUT YOU:Minimum Education: Master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.Minimum Experience: One year of experience in speech and language pathology.Required License: An active Colorado ST license. Valid Colorado state driver's license and proof of auto insurance. Current CPR certification. CPR must be provided and/or obtained.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift minimum of 50 lbs.Colorado Visiting Nurse Association is affiliated with Care Synergy, a nonprofit network of community-based hospice and palliative care organizations serving Colorado's Front Range and the Region's Largest Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care Network.
