Description
Summary:
Facilitates system-wide activities related to patient safety
program. Provides oversight and follow up on occurrence reporting,
reviews trends, prepares patient safety briefs/education and
provides safety-related training. Performs RCA, FMEA and case
reviews and partners with quality team to ensure identified safety
trends are acted upon.
Work Schedule: Full Time Days
Responsibilities:
Administers patient safety program components, incorporating
leading practices, regulatory requirements, and current
literature.
Contributes to the analysis of patient safety trends and provides
support for needed actions. Supports training for topics such as
just culture and high reliability principles.
Partners with clinical quality team to ensure patient safety goals
are met and addressed.
Participates in the investigation and analysis of adverse events,
including critical incidents and near misses. Tracks, monitors, and
reports follow-up on recommendations.
Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive
judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be
able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate
action.
Requirements:
Essential:
* Registered Nurse
Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited or state
board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certification: State licensure as a Registered
Nurse (RN).
Minimum Experience: 2 years of acute care experience. Preferred:
patient safety experience.
The pay range for this position is: $34.73 - $53.83/ hour. Pay is
dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
