POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible and highly qualified Physician who can deliver
exemptional medical care to patients. This position is responsible
for diagnosing and treating patients' illnesses and injuries by
conducting thorough medical examinations, interpreting diagnostic
tests, creating treatment plans, prescribing medications, providing
patient education on health maintenance, and referring patients to
specialists, all while adhering to ethical and legal medical
standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide medical care services to patients, including histories,
exams, lab tests, prescriptions and referrals within prescribed
guidelines and protocols.
- Provides oversight and feedback to clinical programs as
needed
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of histories,
subjective findings, physical exams, plans, prescriptions, and
follow up in Electronic Health Record System (Athena).
- Assure that health education is provided with each patient
encounter when applicable.
- Provide patients with information concerning their evaluation,
diagnosis, treatment and prognosis.
- Consult supervising physician or colleagues when needed for
complicated or case is outside the scope of practice.
- Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality
Improvement (CQI) activities, including regularly scheduled
meetings, clinical audits and peer review.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of research-based medicine
and care.
- Knowledge of the etiology of communicable diseases and human
nutrition.
- Knowledge of social, cultural, and economic factors as they
relate to health and disease.
- The ability to establish and maintain effective working
relationships with administrative, fellow peers, and other
work-related agencies.
- Delivery of compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based
care to all patients, regardless of age, gender, or ethnicity.
- Utilize the multimodal approach offered by our clinic, including
rationale medication management, referral for mental health care,
physical therapy, and interventions as indicated.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending
educational workshops, reviewing professional publications,
establishing personal networks with referring providers, and
participating in professional societies.
SCOPE OF WORK:
- Be able to see between 18-20 patients per 8-hour day and 20-24
patients per 10-hour day and complete accurate documentation within
MedNOW standards.
- Display the highest level of professionalism, integrity and
strong work ethic, serving as a model for all clinic staff.
- Maintain requirements of licensure, DEA certification and board
certification. Fulfill and maintain requirements for
credentialing.
- Consider patients cultural, psychological, social, and
environmental factors in creating treatment / care plans.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Colorado Medical License and furnishing number.
- Current CPR certification and ACLS certification.
- Current DEA License
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary
team.
- Must have experience with family practice, internal medicine, or
urgent care.
- Knowledge of Primary Care, Chronic Care, & Urgent Care.
- Must have the safety and well-being of every patient as the
highest priority.
