be considered. Step into a critical role caring for highly acute
trauma patients on a specialized Step-Down Unit in the Denver metro
area. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work in a
Level 1 trauma center known for its complex cases and collaborative
team environment. The unit focuses on trauma patients requiring
advanced nursing care with equipment such as ventilators, feeding
pumps, IV pumps, wound vacuums, chest tubes, and specialty beds.
Key Responsibilities: - Provide expert care for multi-trauma and
step-down patients - Manage chest tubes, tracheostomies, and
suctioning effectively - Utilize monitoring equipment and Meditech
EMR to deliver patient-centered care - Collaborate closely with
physicians, charge nurses, and tech support for optimal outcomes -
Work with a patient ratio of approximately 1:4, focusing on
critical and stable vented/trached patients Qualifications and
Desired Experience: - Current RN licensure with Step-Down or PCU
(Progressive Care Unit) experience - Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification preferred - Ability to manage chest tubes,
trauma patients, trachs, and suction independently - Experience in
bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and bedside
bronchoscopy is a plus - Strong team-player mindset comfortable in
a high-acuity, fast-paced trauma setting Schedule and Location: -
Day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM - Based in the Arvada, CO area, close
to Denver with convenient access to urban amenities and outdoor

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.59 to $50.00.
