Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to provide specialized school nursing care in Arvada, CO. This contract position involves working 30 hours per week onsite, supporting a 1st-grade student with complex medical needs in a school setting. The assignment is scheduled to begin ASAP and continue through May 21, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for extended school year (ESY) and new school year (NSY) if the fit is successful. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive nursing care including suctioning of the mouth as needed, with occasional trach suction requiring saline nebulizer and cough assist when outdoors without a humidifier for extended periods. Implement regular positioning changes every two hours using various options beyond the students power chair. Perform diaper changes at least four times during the school day. Administer tube feedings (breakfast and lunch), each lasting approximately one hour, while engaging the student in activities. Deliver water bolus feedings approximately five times during school hours using a syringe, accommodating the students current position. Qualifications and Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Experience in school nursing or providing nursing care in educational environments. Ability to work effectively one-on-one with pediatric patients having complex medical needs. Skilled in trach care, suctioning, tube feeding, and positioning techniques.
