We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) to be part of our night-shift team. This specialized RN Fellowship is designed for highly motivated nurses aspiring to specialize in surgical critical care. The program offers structured training, mentorship, and the support necessary to excel in managing critically ill surgical patients. Provide high-quality patient care to critically ill surgical patients based on UCHealth protocols and best practices. Monitor patient health and progress closely, identifying any changes in status and responding with appropriate interventions. Administer medications and treatments efficiently and safely, adhering to strict guidelines. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in educational sessions, workshops, and hands-on experiences as part of the fellowship curriculum. Educate patients and their families on pre- and post-operative care and general health maintenance. Strong clinical skills with a focus on surgical and critical care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Proven leadership skills and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement Capacity to work night shifts and remain alert and efficient during late hours Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Colorado BLS Certification ACLS Certification desirable CCRN-Certified Critical Care Nurse is highly preferred
