Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered
Nurse (RN) to join our Acute Care Surgical Oncology team. As a
highly valued member of our healthcare system, renowned throughout
Colorado for our innovative and patient-centered approach, this
role requires managing complex patient cases alongside a team of
world-class medical professionals. With state-of-the-art facilities
and cutting-edge treatments, you will directly contribute to the
care and recovery of oncology patients through specialized surgical
interventions and comprehensive post-operative care. Provide direct
and individualized nursing care to oncology patients based on the
application of scientific nursing principles. Assist in the
performance of surgical procedures and provide post-surgical care
and education to both patients and their families. Monitor patient
progress and adjust treatments based on physician orders and
clinical judgment. Participate in interdisciplinary care team
meetings to discuss and evaluate patient-specific care plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and administer
medications accurately and promptly. Proficiency in managing
patient care in a surgical setting. Strong interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a high-stress
environment. In-depth knowledge of oncology and surgical care
practices. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse license in the state of
Colorado. BLS/CPR certification Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
preferred.
