Description: Medical Assistant - Front Range Reports to:
Director of Nursing Job Category: Hourly | Non-Exempt | Full-Time
(Must have availability for evening/weekend shifts) Salary Range:
$21-$28 per hour (Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant
experience and certifications) Job Site: Foundry Front Range
(Broomfield) Job Summary: The Medical Assistant will perform
various office, medical, and clinical duties, working directly with
medical and clinical staff to assist with the needs of clients and
their care while in treatment. Education and Experience: Associate
degree preferred. 2 years of experience working for a healthcare
practice or hospital. Inventory management experience. Medical
Assistant certification preferred. Substance abuse/detox experience
preferred. QMAP strongly preferred. BLS certification required.
Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to be compassionate to those
needing and receiving services. High level of professionalism.
Strong customer service skills. Impeccable ethics, integrity, and
patient relations skills. Outstanding communication skills. Ability
to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Proficient
with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Must be adept at
quickly learning multiple computer systems and platforms.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s
EMR system. Duties/Responsibilities: Update and maintain all client
records via the EMR system. Record patient information such as
medical histories, vital signs, etc. Perform basic lab tests.
Explain treatment procedures to patients. Instruct patients about
medication. Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing
orders for new materials as needed. Coordinate and schedule client
appointments as needed. Complete necessary paperwork and forms.
Call in provider orders to ensure prescriptions are accurate and
timely. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Prolonged
periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
Climbing stairs, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, standing,
using hands, see, talk, hear. Exposure to a medical and clinical
environment. Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times. Driving in
