Job Description:

UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist Traveler to join our dynamic team at various locations across our Colorado-based, nonprofit healthcare system. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a range of surgical environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with surgical teams to prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment, and assist during surgeries, ensuring that all procedures are carried out safely and effectively. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Help in positioning patients on the operating table and cover them with sterile surgical drapes. Ensure the integrity of the sterile environment by adhering to standards and procedures, complying with regulations. Operate sterilizers, lights, suction machines, and diagnostic equipment. Conduct inventory of surgical items both pre- and post-operation. Maintain and update patient records. Travel to multiple UCHealth facilities as required. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficient in using medical software and surgical instruments Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
