Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse
for our Medical Surgical Oncology Night Shift, based at our
state-of-the-art facility in Colorado. This role is pivotal in
managing nursing staff and overseeing patient care for oncology
patients, ensuring that each patient receives the highest level of
care and support. As part of UCHealth, a leading nonprofit
healthcare system, you will work in an environment that promotes
innovative treatments and patient-centered care. Supervise nursing
staff and manage the floor operations on night shifts. Ensure high
standards of patient care and safety. Administer medications and
treatments diligently. Collaborate with oncologists and other
medical professionals to implement comprehensive care plans for
patients. Monitor patient conditions and provide updates to
healthcare team and family members as appropriate. Manage patient
documentation and maintain accurate records. Provide mentorship and
guidance to nursing staff to foster professional growth and
maintain high morale. Participate in ongoing education and training
sessions. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in managing
oncology patient care Adept in using medical software and patient
management systems Ability to work effectively under pressure in a
fast-paced environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Oncology
Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
