available for a registered nurse with oncology expertise to provide
high-quality care on a Blood Cancer Unit known for its excellence.
This contract role focuses on compassionate nursing for patients
with hematologic malignancies and chronic oncology conditions.
Located in Arvada, CO, this position offers a chance to work within
a highly regarded unit distinguished by multiple awards for quality
care and team collaboration. Responsibilities: Deliver nursing care
to an 18-bed Blood Cancer unit with complex hematology patients
Utilize specialized equipment such as telemetry monitors, bladder
scanners, and Alaris pumps Participate in procedures including
lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies (with or without conscious
sedation), and thoracentesis Administer medications, blood
products, and electrolyte replacements following unit policies
Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary team to implement
evidence-based practices Ensure safe handling of hazardous drugs
under certification guidelines Qualifications: Active RN license
required Experience or strong interest in oncology nursing with
compassionate care for chronic patients Ability to work effectively
on a fast-paced team-oriented medical-surgical oncology unit
Preferred: Chemotherapy and biotherapy certification; step-down
unit experience handling critical care protocols and standing
orders Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM shifts, providing essential night
coverage for patient care continuity Unit Highlights: Recognized as
