The Payroll Analyst full-time position is an essential part of the success of our organization. This position will assist the Controller with assisting in payroll processing, reconciliations, tax filings, and responsibilities including federal, state, and local taxes and other accounts payable/receivables processing tasks as needed.--

---THE PAYROLL ANALYST SHOULD POSSESS:

The Payroll Analyst will need to find enjoyment in staying up-to-date with law changes and be able to communicate with them internally and to clients effectively and professionally.
--- A love for numbers! The Payroll Analyst must enjoy the details, the repetition, and solving puzzles.
--- Organizational and time management skills! The ideal candidate will possess a track record of being very detail oriented. In this role, you will be responsible for tracking client information and meeting important deadlines.
--- A technology-friendly background! This person must be proficient in Microsoft Suite (particularly Word) and can learn new software quickly.
--- Positive and professional attitude! The Payroll Analyst must collaboratively work with other departments and professionally communicate with clients; a positive customer service philosophy is essential.

Responsibilities:
WHAT THE PAYROLL ANALYST DOES:
--- Perform payroll processing for client accounts.
--- Process reconciliations of assigned accounts (941 and 940's).
--- Effectively navigate web-based government systems for registration activities and updates as required.
--- Process daily tax deposits and quarterly taxes for assigned accounts via web-based government systems.
--- Reconcile multi-state payroll tax data and ensure payroll information is reported to applicable government agencies, as required.
--- Complete accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
--- Ensures compliance with established internal procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
--- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation.
--- Maintains and continues professional and technical knowledge by attending educational events, reviewing professional publications, and establishing professional networks.
--- Participate in weekly meetings and provide updates on any assignments, tasks, or projects.
--- Maintain knowledge of the current systems and make recommendations for workflow improvements.
--- Complete additional reconciliations and audits assigned by management.

Qualifications:
--- 1 year of payroll experience
--- Multi-state Payroll experience is a plus
--- QuickBooks experience is a plus
--- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite
--- Has the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
--- Ability to communicate effectively through active listening as well as oral and written forms of communication
--- Ability to take care of clients' needs while following company procedures
--- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills to ensure productivity levels and deadlines are met
