Job Description Job Description The Sr. Engineering Technician
works independently to provide advanced and varied technical
support and data analysis. Applies extensive ARIES, data analysis
and database knowledge and experience to engineering tasks and
projects required in the development of annual budgets, tracking of
KPIs, variance analysis, etc. Additional involvement in processes
will include, but is not limited to, Portfolio Lookback analysis,
Inventory Analysis, monthly and quarterly reporting processes,
production tracking, presentation creation, and special projects as
needed. Essential Roles & Responsibilities Advanced Spotfire,
Access, SQL, Aries, Alteryx, and Power Pivot skills. Assemble and
analyze data and reporting from various internal systems including
Aries, AVM, and third party well data, including state regulatory
and production data. Broad system knowledge to build more efficient
data optimization routines for tasks. Ability to check and ensure
accuracy of data and reporting. Ability to advise on methods for
data collection and retrieval, loading, manipulation, and
management for use by groups both within the development
engineering team and other groups. Assist with incorporation of
monthly DUC report into planning reports, tracking and
reconciliation of interest changes impacting budget and quarterly
reconciliations, and assisting with variance explanations to
guidance that involve interest changes. Update Aries database with
budget capex tables to support portfolio DPI analysis. Review and
authorize supporting data via research from public sources such as
Enverus and regulatory agencies. May support evaluation for
mergers, acquisition and divestitures including due diligence.
Generate monthly reports based on standard procedures to provide
project performance tracking and ensure accuracy of data.
Assistengineers in the preparation of technical reports, analyses,
evaluations and presentations as needed. Perform moderate
calculations and preliminary analyses of data in support of
engineering studies. Initiate and develop more accurate and
reliable data analyses and reporting methodologies.
Provideadvancedtechnical support for Spotfire or other
visualization tools. Train less experienced technicians. Conduct
business safely and with the highest ethical standards. Other
duties as assigned. Computer/Software Applications Proficient
knowledge of the industry and operations. Proficient use of
advanced Excel formulas (VLOOKUP, MATCH, TRANSPOSE, PivotTable,
PowerPivot, etc.); data management including the ability to push
and pull data from the backside of ARIES and between systems to be
used for analysis, creatively addressing problems using ARIES
modeling. Additionally, the following general understanding is
preferred: ARIES, Spotfire, Alteryx, Wellview, Enverus.
Role-Specific Technical Knowledge & Skills Data management

modeling. Typical Education: Technical associate degree or related
experience required bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.
Typical Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in related
