Job Description:

The Matos Law Firm is a personal injury law firm in Lakewood, CO.--

Our firm is seeking a litigation attorney to handle a caseload of auto accident cases. Attorneys will be responsible for their own caseload and should have a minimum of 7 years experience.

Responsibilities:

Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks
Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff
Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution


Qualifications:

Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision
Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role
