Summary: Deliver Products to customers in various types of delivery
vehicles. Essential Functions: May be required to blend and load
liquid or dry materials as needed. Responsible to insure proper
amounts of product are loaded on vehicle at warehouses and unloaded
properly at customers requested delivery locations. Responsible for
the security of the load, assures that loads do not exceed maximum
weight restrictions, and are properly placarded per DOT
regulations. Assures that equipment is properly calibrated when
delivered. Ensure all GMP, FDA, DOT, and HAACP regulations and
guidelines are adhered to. Keep daily driver’s log current and
complete daily truck inspection. Perform all other duties as
assigned. Maintain a safe and courteous work ethic while driving or
interacting with customers and coworkers. Is aware of Company and
Industry safety regulations, Company policies as specified in the
employee handbook, and abides by these regulations and policies.
Attends all required company sponsored safety meetings and training
sessions. Safe and legal operation of a commercial vehicle. Report
all accidents involving driver or company equipment immediately.
Report safety hazards immediately Education: High School Diploma or
equivalent Experience: 2 years of operating a class A or class B
vehicles 2 years of forklift operation Knowledge: Must be able to
shift manual transmission and operate foot pedals. Fuel vehicle,
check oil and coolant levels. Skills: Must be able to sit and
remain alert while driving for an aggregate period of up to 12
hours. Must be able to enter and exit the truck cab frequently. Cab
is generally from 36 to 66 inches above ground level, with entry
and exit achieved with the assistance of various configurations of
steps and handholds; also requires occasional bending, climbing,
squatting and balancing. Must be able to occasionally reach above
shoulder level; bend at waist level and below waist level for
maneuvering and directing controls of the truck. Must be able to
climb ladders on truck; as well as climb on equipment at loading
and delivery sites as required. Additional Information: While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee is
frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel;
reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee must
frequently move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move
more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job
are in close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The
noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. This
position does require a pre-hire, post-offer criminal background
