The LPN is responsible and accountable for providing nursing services and care to assigned patients in accordance with organizational policies and all applicable regulations. Provides direct patient care, follows nursing policies and procedures and collaborates with other team members and health care providers in various care settings as needed. The LPN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments and utilizes critical thinking in an effective and efficient manner. This opportunity is in a Memory Care facility. SCHEDULE: Three Quarter Time - Friday through Monday - flexibility needed What does a LPN do at Balfour Senior Living? -- Responsible for managing day-to-day resident and nursing care activities -- Work closely with our care partners to deliver quality care and service -- Complete admission data collection on all newly admitted residents to ensure accuracy and completeness -- Transfer and discharge residents with appropriate and accurate information -- Responsible for following through on resident incidents and grievances by taking appropriate action and reporting immediately to supervisor -- Participate in committees as requested -- Ensure nursing service work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner (i.e. nurse's stations, medicine preparation rooms, resident rooms, treatment areas, etc.) -- Other duties as required You bring the following skills and experience to Balfour Senior Living: -- Valid and current LPN state license required -- Knowledge and experience in bedside nursing required -- Demonstrated talent for interacting with a wide variety of people, particularly the elderly and their family members -- Ability to work effectively as part of a team -- Ability to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with others -- Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity -- Ability to accept responsibility for agreements made and follow through as appropriate -- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language -- Effective verbal and written communication skills required Health & Wellness Protocols: Until further notice, interviews will take place virtually. Newly-hired associates will complete Balfour Senior Living's New Hire Orientation virtually, then receive important training about how to keep our residents, and themselves, as healthy as possible. This includes things like hand washing and social distancing. You will also follow wellness protocols developed under guidance of health agencies before entering any of our buildings.
