Job Description:


The primary responsibility of the Store Lead to provide excellent customer service to our customers and to be knowledgeable in all product lines carried by Salon Services while assisting the District Manager is additional assigned duties in relation to running a store location. Store Leads are to support the District Manager with all tasks relevant to the store, including, but not limited to: maintaining and achieving sales goals, maintaining inventory accuracy by following procedures, assisting in all merchandising projects to maintain the freshness and appearance of the store, training of store assistants, creation and support of actions to achieve sales goals and store coverage while the District Manager fulfils their additional duties.


A Store Lead maintains the company's existing relationships with customers shopping in their location, so that they will continue using the company for business with a goal of 100% retention. Store Leads serve as the ambassador for all things Salon Services. They are to work a full-time schedule and have open availability during hours of operation. They are expected to be the most professional Beauty and Fashion Industry Expert in their area and promote themselves in a manner that customers shopping in their locations know who they are and who Salon Services is. The Store Lead is to create a GREAT customer experience and generate sales for the company as a result. The store lead is also responsible for cultivating a team atmosphere with the other employees. They will support in development of team and achievement of goal. Individuals on our team must be customer service-oriented, be a respectful team player, have a keen ability to troubleshoot in creative manners, be effective at conflict resolution and willing to learn.


Leadership and Culture: Continually drives and develops Salon Services culture by nurturing, supporting and promoting the company mission, values, vision and brand. Model effective coaching behaviors at all times, resulting in high performing Store.

Communication: Communicate priorities upward and downward in a solution-oriented manner. Ensure proactive and collaborative communication with management, operations, other sales teams, distribution center and home office for greater efficiency and attainment of Salon Services strategic plan.

Continually educate, cross promote and up-sell products to customers.

Stay updated and communicate to Store team all current specials and promotions to assist customers.

Ensure daily social media presence for the store social pages.

Maintain calendar for education (education stores responsible for set-up, tear-down and any cleaning needed)

Adhere to all Inventory controls set forth by Salon Services and Supplies.

Inventory counts are to be done in a timely manner and attendance policy is to be followed for all off-hour projects.

Support in the hiring process for assistants

Support in the training for assistants

Always be available to help assist customers.

o Engaging with customers to make them feel welcome and comfortable in the store.

o Adhere to all Attendance Policies

o Open availability during all hours of operation.

Assist in sales and inventory goal attainment through excellent customer service and support.

o Conduct 15 minutes of learning on each shift.

o Continually cross-promote and up-sell products to increase the locations average dollar per sale.

o Provide a consistent high level of client service to all internal and external customers with a goal of 0 customer complaints.

o Assist in outbound customer relationships by conducting outbound calls, social media posts, sending or emailing thank you notes, and inviting customers to events and education.

o Promotions & Merchandising materials are to be put up and taken down in a timely manner as directed.

o Must keep updated on current specials and promotions to assist customers in their purchasing decisions.

o Inventory to be continually fronted and faced and restocked throughout the day.

Support receiving of inventory transfers.

o Adherence to all Inventory controls set forth by Salon Services.

o Freight must be received within 24 hours of receipt, following all Salon Services receiving guidelines.

Support as cashier for clients according to company policy and guidelines in a very efficient and friendly manner.

Ability to follow open and closing procedures.

Continuously maintain a clean and presentable environment within Salon Services.

Complete and submit all required paperwork in accurate and timely manner.

Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Attend required company functions.

All other duties as assigned.

Work within all set guidelines, policies, and procedures set forth by Salon Services.

A professional image and behavior must always be maintained, included but not limited to social media content in relation to Salon Services and adhering to the dress code set forth by Salon Services

Education and Requirements:

High School Diploma preferred

Minimum of 6 months retail history preferred

Passion for beauty and or Fashion

Social Media acumen required

Physical demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
