We are seeking a talented and team-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our luxury senior living community, Balfour at Riverfront Park, located in one of the trendiest areas of downtown Denver. POSITION:  

The successful housekeeping supervisor candidate will be responsible for ensuring outstanding service is delivered to our residents on a daily basis. In this key hospitality role, you will manage the daily operations of the department and the overall supervision of the housekeeping team. Responsibilities include creating cleaning schedules, ensuring staffing levels are met, oversee the cleanliness and appearance of common areas as well as resident apartments. The aesthetic appearance is of the utmost importance ensuring a gold level standard is always met. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Hiring and training new staff and providing ongoing management of team members. 

• Monitoring the department’s budgetary requirements and take appropriate action to comply with these guidelines. 

• Responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations and specifically ensuring staff performs the following tasks to the highest standards: o Maintaining cleanliness, service and product quality standards of apartments, resident rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and meeting/conference rooms. o Ensuring apartments and rooms are cleaned in a timely and efficient manner. o Managing daily systems for cost controls, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement. o Monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, coaching and mentoring and delivering recognition and rewards. 

• Overseeing and conducting apartment/room inspections to ensure quality and standards are met. 

• Recruiting, interviewing and training new team members. 

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS REQUIRED: 

• High School Diploma or GED. 

• Two – Four years’ experience in housekeeping and/or in a service-oriented role preferred. 

• Prior hospitality and/or customer service experience helpful. 

• Prior direct housekeeping experience helpful. 

• Proven successful management of a team to achieve common goals. 

• Four years management experience preferred. 

• Ability to provide coaching and mentoring to staff to achieve excellence. 

• Ability to collaborate with other departments and management to continuously improve quality and overall experience of our customers. 

• Ability to clearly communicate in verbal and written form. 

• Ability to communicate openly, honestly and responsibly with others. 

• Ability to maintain a customer focus treating all customers with respect and integrity. 

• Ability to accept responsibility for agreements made and follow through as appropriate. 

• Ability to work on weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed is essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: 

• Ability to climb, stoop, bend, push, pull and lift in excess of 50 pounds as necessary to perform required cleaning tasks as assigned throughout the workday 

• Willingness to work around odors, chemicals, and extreme temperature changes throughout the community


Health & Wellness Protocols: Until further notice, interviews will take place virtually. Newly-hired associates will complete Balfour Senior Living's New Hire Orientation virtually, then receive important training about how to keep our residents, and themselves, as healthy as possible. This includes things like hand washing and social distancing. You will also follow wellness protocols developed under guidance of health agencies before entering any of our buildings.
