SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for driving
immediate and continued commercial loan and business member growth
for the credit union. This position supports the overall credit
union financial and Board initiatives by identifying new
opportunities and partnerships to drive commercial loan and deposit
growth. This position must be highly motivated and self-driven, as
she/he will be the face of the credit union as this position will
work with both existing business service partners and will be the
lead in identifying and fostering new business partner
relationships. This will include outbound solicitation and
follow-up via in-person, telephone, Business Marketing and other
developmental avenues. This position will assist in the immediate
remediation of underwriting issues to ensure top-quality service
for business member.CORE COMPETENCIES
- Understand what differentiates Partner Colorado Credit Union
and develop a unique approach to differentiate us in the business
services marketplace
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the market as well as
knowledge of competitors and competitive products
- Maintain current knowledge of Credit Union lending and other
applicable policies
- Oversee the commercial lending team
- Create a business development marketing plan utilizing
effective sales techniques that will generate new relationships,
new loans, and sell additional products
- Partner with Marketing as applicable to create compelling
business-focused marketing campaigns
- Partner with others in management to develop and implement
business-focused sales strategies for the front-lines
- Proactively build a pipeline of external opportunities that
support the commercial loan and deposit growth goals
- Externally source and qualify commercial credit and deposit
prospects
- Participate in community and business functions to ensure a
positive reputation for the Credit Union amongst the local business
community
- Guide the client experience through the process, ultimately
leading to successfully funded credit facilities and/or new deposit
accounts
- Analyze, structure, and negotiate complex loans and/or
agreements to appropriately balance risk and reward, including
terms, pricing, special conditions, and interest rates
- Present highly organized, detailed, and complete credit files
for commercial loans ranging from commercial real estate to lines
of credit to the Credit Union's Commercial Loan Committee
- Represent the Credit Union with honesty and integrity while
delivering high levels of customer service in all interactions
- Perform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITY
- Proven track record of producing at a high level in a
commercial environment
- Strong customer relations skills and ability to work with
employees and customers in a cooperative manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services
- Ability and desire to lead and work as part of a team and with
people of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to identify client needs, present banking solutions and
bank products
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to make decisions, work independently, handle
confidential information and manage multiple tasks
- Ability and desire to be actively involved in community
networking to identify and capitalize on new business development
opportunitiesEDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAININGBachelor's degree in a
business discipline from an accredited college or university (can
be substitute for part of the work experience.)EXPERIENCE5+ years
related experience in Commercial Lending and/or Commercial Business
Development. Experience with commercial real estate, C&I, and
SBA lendingCompensation and BenefitsStarting hourly rate - $77,000+
