Position Summary, Duties and Responsibilities
Come make a splash all year long! We are looking for dedicated
individuals to round out our amazing Aquatics team!
Our lifeguards embody the phrase, "work hard, play hard". We ensure
each guard is equipped with top notch safety skills as outlined by
StarGuard Elite and the Apex Aquatics Division. When not providing
top notch safety, our guards contribute to the pool side fun!
Shifts are typically Monday through Sunday between 5:00am-10:00pm .
Employees can work up to 29 hours per week. This position includes
drop-in benefits to all facilities.
Apex offers flexible scheduling from one shift each week to

opportunities for promotions to our dedicated guards.
Job Summary: Applicant will supervise guests in the pool area
maintaining the surveillance standard set by StarGuard Elite and
the Aquatics Division, observe and enforce all pool rules, and
assist with overall risk management of the Apex Park and Recreation
District pools. Applicant may also be required to teach swim
lessons, attend monthly skills training sessions, and perform
general maintenance duties as assigned by a supervisor. Other
duties may be assigned as needed that fall in the general spirit of
the recreation profession. Job Qualifications
Applicant must be able to obtain a valid lifeguard certification
issued by StarGuard Elite. Lifeguard training is offered by Apex
staff. Applicant must be able to pass a swimming skills test.
Minimum Age: 15
Work Environment
The lifeguard performs their work at both indoor and outdoor pools.
This position can be performed in seasonal weather conditions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be
exposed to chemicals and fumes.
Physical Demands Walks, sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves
continually during working hours; is subject to lifting over 50
pounds.
