The FDIR Systems Engineer Stf will assume a leading role in implementing Failure Detection, Isolation, and Response (FDIR) capabilities for the Hypersonic Strike Weapon System (HSWS) programsThis position is essential to the timely delivery of quality weapons system products that meet the U.SNavy and U.SArmy critical national needs hypersonic strike capabilitiesThe successful candidate will:
--- Conduct signal-based FMEAs/FMECAs for system elements that inform coverage verification and algorithms for failure detection
--- Guide the successful completion of major program milestones through the completion of critical FDIR work
--- Write algorithms that will be implemented within system software for FDIR
--- Write requirements and verification criteria for system FDIR

--- Technical experience in systems integration, engineering, and/or test of complex systems --- Experience creating and analyzing LRU-signal-based FMEAs/FMECAs with focus on failure mode severity levels and detection methods --- Experience creating failure detection software algorithm logic and data threshold design requirements --- Experience with Failure Detection, Isolation, and Response (FDIR) system requirements allocations and synthesis --- Familiarity with government customers and programs --- Active Secret clearance required for this role
Desired Skills:
--- Master's degree in Science or Engineering --- Experience in Navy platform integration, reentry, missile, or hypersonic systems --- Knowledge of HSWS CPS and segments --- Experience in key technologies or applicable skills: Flight Computers; Communications; Power --- Demonstrated ability to drive closure and resolve complex technical issues/challenges --- Demonstrated customer orientation by learning and understanding customers' missions, needs, and perspectives --- Experience in a development and test environment --- Excellent communication skills, with experience addressing management and government customers

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employeesSchedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensedThese condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500 Please note that the salary information is a general guideline onlyLockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offerBenefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidaysRepresented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidaysPTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar yearThis position is incentive plan eligible.
