Newmont s industry leading performance is reflected through high standards in environmental management, health and safety for its employees and creating value and opportunity for host communities and shareholders.About this roleWhat will you be responsible for?The Intern - Cyber Security Analyst will be growing insight and knowledge around the effective day-to-day delivery of information security systems and solutions.Understand how cyber security fits into the information technology landscape and our large global mining and operational technology platforms.The role supports and works closely with the Sr. Security Analyst and Sr. Manager of Cyber Delivery to build knowledge of how Newmont's cyber security operation functions and delivers services.The Intern will get involved and help deliver Cyber Security projects and initiatives, in conjunction with internal senior staff.The Intern will have hands-on exposure to the Newmont Cyber Security environment and tools that support our delivery of security solutions.Your role will consist ofHere is a snapshot of what your day-to-day will look like:Growing knowledge and insight around the effective delivery of information security systems and solutions.Understanding how Cyber Security fits into IT and our broader global platforms and functions.Exposure and growth of knowledge around Newmont's cyber security tools and systems.Cyber project delivery and execution.The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.Your training, skills, and experience checklistHere is what we would need to see from you!Education:Bachelor's Degree, in progress, in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.Experience:None required, specific in flight schooling in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field.Skills and Abilities:Validated strong verbal and written communication skills.Must have the ability to efficiently use the Microsoft Office suite.Working conditions and locationWhere you will be located!The position is located in the Denver Corporate office.We understand no candidate will meet every single desired qualification. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
