Unlike other Event Sales positions, we DO NOT require you to work events IN ADDITION to your regular sales responsibilities.

We are an established and successful restaurant, catering company, and event venue, that sells amazing products, and we cater to high-end customers who want to create that "special event". We are looking for a top-notch Sales Professional with passion and heart who would like to join our team.

Compensation:



--- This is a salaried plus commissioned job with a higher commission for higher performance. There is no limit on how much you can make
--- Your earning potential is at least $65,000 with wages and commission if you meet your minimum sales targets
--- Compensation is a combination of experience and commitment
--- You must meet our minimum monthly selling targets in three months or less

Benefits:

--- 75% contribution to Group Health Insurance that begins the first full month after you join us. There is no waiting period, and you can add your spouse and/or dependents at the lower cost we have negotiated with Kaiser. Please note that we only pay 75% for your insurance - not for your spouse and/or dependents
--- Retirement Savings. You can contribute as soon as you join. After 1 year of job, we match up to 4%
--- You will get these Federal Holidays Off: New Year's Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day
--- Your first year of employment, you will earn 1 day of paid time off (PTO) for every 8 weeks of work for a total of 6 PTO days every year. After 1 year of employment, you will earn 1.5 days of PTO for every 8 weeks of work for a total of 10 PTO Days every year

Responsibilities:

Funnel new qualified leads into the sales pipeline by following up with each prospect via email, phone calls or other forms of communication
Record monthly and quarterly sales and performance goals to ensure they are being met
Maintain the client database to make sure the sales team can access current information on all leads
Generate qualified leads for the sales team so they can provide a quick response to customers
Work within your specific geography to find new business opportunities
You MUST:
--- Have strong work ethic
--- Have a "can do" attitude and are a go-getter
--- Know how to build and nurture relationships with all types of people
--- Excel at networking and relationship-building with customers, vendors, planners, and venues
--- Can manage the entire sales process: generate leads, handle inquiries, follow up with potential clients in a timely manner, meet with them, and convert them into sales
--- Have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and be able to communicate with management, prospects, customers, vendors, and event staff
--- Be organized, able to track your progress, and report your success to management on a regular basis
--- Be comfortable with technology. We use lead management and proposal generation software, and Softphones
--- Be a team player and willing and available to pitch in if a need arises even if outside the purview of your role
--- Be able to work evenings and weekends
--- Have access to reliable transportation

You are expected to:
--- Participate in wedding shows, vendor showcases, and various industry events
--- Participate in client tastings, tours, and walkthroughs
--- Maintain effective communication and working relationships with admin, sales, marketing, and operations (BOH/FOH) staff
--- Build and/or maintain relationships with venues and planners

Qualifications:

Strong time management skills, communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills
Two years of previous sales experience
Working knowledge of the sales process and CRM software
High school diploma or GED is required, bachelor's degree preferred
Possess a valid U.S. driver's license and be able to travel by car
--- Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
--- Proven track record of sales success
--- Excellent leadership skills, analytical skills, and communication skills
--- Comfortable using and learning different programs such as Office 365, Proposal Generation, Aisle Planner
